INGREDIENTS 

Have you ever seen an ingredient in one of your products and thought to yourself, "why on earth is this in my skin care product?" Here is a list of the ingredients in both Xterior cleansers and why they are used. Xterior strives off of making our products safe for all to use. We do not use any Parabens in our products making them safe for children and pregnant customers. Do keep in mind when going through our ingredient list some ingredients mention they help prevent cancer, these ingredients are all natural but we cannot make any promises. 

Water- Water is a safe hydrating property used with a preservation system. It is generally used to Dilute stronger ingredients. 

Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate- foaming agent derived from coconut.

Ammonium Laureth Sulfate- used as a foaming agent in cleansers, derived from salt. 

Cocamidopropyl Betaine- derived from coconut oil meant to thicken product. 

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice- used to sooth irritated skin.

Sodium Chloride- otherwise known as salt. It is used as a natural preservative. 

Melaluca Alternifolia Leaf OIl (Tea Tree)- Used as an antibacterial agent. Also used to scent product

 Allantoin-a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations

Polysorbate 20- used to emulsify (mix) all ingredients

Sodium Benzoate-an effective preservative that prevents the growth of molds and bacteria in skincare

Potassium Sorbate- mild preservative used in skin care products. Used as an alternative to using parades. (Safe for pregnancy).

Citric Acid- organic compound used for disinfecting 

Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex- helps deodorizing wounds, burns and other skin conditions.

Glycerin- a type of Carbohydrate also known as sugar alcohol. Occurs naturally in fermented foods. Very safe or skin unless you have a known allergy. 

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract- an obtained oil from tea plant, used as a natural agent to add scent and antiaging properties. 

Chamomilla Recutita (matricaria) Flower Extract- natural property found in leafs used for soothing and anti-inflammatory effects.

Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract- herbal cream  used against bacterial skin diseases like cellulitis, pustules, pyogenic infections.

Curcuma Longa (Tumeric) Root Extract- yellow spice used for management of oxidative and inflammatory conditions, metabolic syndrome, arthritis, anxiety, and hyperlipidemia

Ocimum Basilicum (Basil) Flower/Leaf Extract-This extract of the flowers and leaves of the basil, contains Vitamins A and C, Calcium, Zinc, Iron, Chlorophyll

Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract-found as the major compound responsible for those anti-ageing activities

Coccimia Indica Fruit Extract-A fruit whose components can help shield skin from an imbalance of naturally-occurring substances on skin's surface

Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract-is a succulent plant which offers many benefits and is suited for all skin types, especially dry, damaged, broken, sensitive and irritated skin

Solanum Melongena (eggplant) Fruit Extract-l topical natural treatment has surfaced and it has many advantages over the currently used skin cancer therapies

Corllina Officinalis Extract-when applied on the skin, can help regulate skin's oil production.

Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Extract-used for upset stomach and other digestive disorders, kidney diseases, menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea), symptoms of menopause, anxiety, stress, and many other conditions,

Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract-A herbal cream containing a methanolic HPLC-standardized extract of Melia azedarach flowers has been prepared and found potent against bacterial skin diseases like cellulitis, pustules, pyogenic infections,

Ilex Paraguariensis Leaf Extract- contains antioxidant compounds, such as caffeoyl derivatives and polyphenols, which may protect against heart disease. Cell and animal studies also report that mate extract may provide some protection against heart disease 

Viola Odorata Flower/Â Leaf Extract- rich in Vitamin A and C and can be added to a nutritive tea, along with other nutrient dense herb

Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Bran Extract-Extract from the germ portion of the wheat plant. In cosmetics, this ingredient functions as a skin-softening and hair-conditioning agent

Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil-Lemon oil is a natural and powerful toner that can help with lightening your skin tone, reducing the discolorations from acne, as well as small scars.

Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Oil-acts as an effective antibacterial, soothing dry skin and eczema and increasing cell turnover to lighten the appearance of scars.

Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil- promote hair growth and reduce hair loss by balancing the oil-producing glands in the scalp. It also has antifungal and antibacterial properties, which can treat different conditions that may contribute to dandruff or hair loss.

Bulnesia Sarmientoi Wood Oil-It is used in perfumery for its invigorating effect on the mind, its natural fixative properties and its suave fragrance

Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Fruit Oil-Because of its antibacterial properties, coriander can also be a great addition to your skincare routine to prevent acne and blackheads.

Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil- The essential oil that's extracted from the leaves and buds of the plant has a clean, refreshing scent that you can use as a skin balm or gently inhale as part of an aromatherapy treatment

Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Bud Oil-used as a spice, flavoring or fragrance in consumer products, such as toothpaste, soaps, or cosmetics

Anthemis Nobilis Oil-fights against inflammation of the skin, including inflammation of sunburns and minor scrapes and cuts.

Allantoin- a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations

Amino Esters-1- used to emulsify ingredients

Carbomer-have a low potential for phototoxicity, photo-contact allergenicity, skin irritation and sensitization at concentrations up to 100%

Sodium Hydroxide- used for discoloration and age spots

Limonene- good for your heart and coronary health.  consuming limonene will help reduce triglycerides and lower blood sugar levels. It also help increase “good” cholesterol levels

Linalool-anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. Inflammation can also lead to acne and other skin conditions such as psoriasis and rosacea. So eliminating inflammation is good news if you have skin that acts a little contrary at times.
